Come here for the standout hot and sour dumpling soup which is generous, comforting but spicy. It's our favorite here. The shandong chicken is pretty good as well. Most main dishes, fried rice and noodles are done well but the hand made dumplings are the highlight here. This restaurant is always packed so remember to book. Would I come back? Absolutely. The menu offers a wide variety of choices. Even though we didn’t try everything, the dishes we had were delicious. The staff service was okay, but the great taste of the food made the visit worthwhile.
Great food! The Mongolian beef and laksa were amazing the meat was so tender and flavorful. Everything was tasty, reasonably priced, and served in a nice, comfortable restaurant. Highly recommended.
Fresh and delicious! You can watch the chefs making the dumplings, which is very cool. They have a large menu with lots of tasty options. The food came out fast and was full of flavour. Portion sizes are generous and great value. Highly recommend the beef brisket in brown sauce hotpot and slow cooked pork belly in Taiwan style. You'll want to have rice too, for all the yummy sauce! Vibrant atmosphere and bright decor. Great location.
Great food all round! I loved the Mongolian Beef and all the meat were EXTREMELY tender.
A favorite place for quick, tasty dumplings plus more. Duck pancakes, juicy duck pieces. Such a simple dish, but always a winner. Hot & sour soup, with the chilli to vinegar balance just right. The Special Dumplings, 10 pieces, are consistently delicious. Create your own sauce mix from the condiments box. Duck spring rolls with whole pieces of filling, rather than minced, would’ve got a repeat order if I wasn’t full.
So so good! The stuff is so kind and when above and beyond I left my phone on the table and they chased me out of the restaurant to return it. Seriously, one of the best places in Canberra I will definitely be back! Thank you CBD dumpling house!
